Support the building of the first mosque in Denmark

For years Danish Muslims have tried in vain to establish a mosque on Danish soil. Now, in the wake of the cartoon-crisis brought about by the Danish newspaper Jyllands Posten and the publishing of the satiric drawings of the prophet Muhammed, it can finally happen, because the crisis has raised the awareness of many Muslims to stand together, and unite around a common cause. One of these causes being the building of the first mosque in Denmark.

Our dream is to build a beautiful building, open to all, signalling diversity and tolerance. We hope that it will be a magnificent house that can be a dignified setting for Muslim worship, and an evidence of the Danish society’s respect and acceptance of the Muslim community in Denmark.
